Glen Miranker is the former Chief Technology Officer (Hardware) for Apple Computers. He retired in 2004, and now devotes himself to book collecting, lecturing and assisting special-collections departments at institutions such as the Houghton Library of Harvard University, the Toronto Reference Library (Toronto), the Harry Ransom Center (University of Texas, Austin) and the Newberry Library (Chicago). Miranker is a Sherlockian collector as well as speaker, and has delivered Sherlockian talks and presentations since 1981. Glen co-curated the exhibition Sir Arthur Conan Doyle: A Sesquicentennial Assessment at the Houghton Library, Harvard College, curated and lectured at an exhibition titled Sidney Paget's Sherlock Holmes: A Sesquicentennial Exhibition featuring original Paget illustrations from his own collection, at The Arion Press, and assisted in the restoration of the "lost" 1929 German silent film Der Hund von Baskerville (sic) which made its first showing with English intertitles ever, and its first showing of any kind in 75 years, in June 2018. He is a member of The Baker Street Irregulars.
